story sketch
This is an early sketch for my short that has been consuming my brain for a bit. When the short is done I hope that these sketches will move to new brains for tasting, mine hurts.

after working hard producing strong linear narrative, it's nice to unwind with some random-iosity. Ness.
Flipping through sketchbooks I realize there are a lot of backs-of-heads people.
This is a drawing of what these large headed people sulking away are thinking of. Oh and the crazy-eyed puppets that watch them.
Towers and buildings in water. A minotaur's ghost in the clouds above watching over.
Just so you know.
It is always easy to overcome the occasional art-lag with a quick visit to the inspiration corner of my studio. Every good comics geek has a serious arrangement of comics, art and various literature like the proud plumage of a nerdy peacock.
I've been floating in circles in my little boat in a big, big sea for a long while, looking at a few distant islands for some time. I've been inspired by a few strong artists to decide on what I would like to do most, and then just go for it. I am working on a new storyboard web portfolio, and am very determined to make drawing a full-time thing for me. I will be sharing bits of that progress here so let me know what you guys think. I have to say I am very proud of the support of the online illustration and animation community and am very grateful that we have this outlet to share work and inspire each other. Big fat thank yous to all of you out there.
